Eating meat

On this subject, there are three areas of people (not including vegans):

1. People who have explored areas of the meat industry and have come to the conclusion that it's disgusting and they want nothing to do with it, and so stop eating meat.

2. People who have explored areas of the meat industry and have come to the conclusion that, for whatever reason, that it's OK and so they will continue eating meat.

3. People who have explored areas of the meat industry and have come to the conclusion that it's disgusting, and think it's wrong but carry on eating meat.

I am not concerned with case 1 or 2 at all. Case 3 is where my anger lies. This means someone is doing something against their own logical conclusions. If they were conclusions drawn by someone else, and they're not agreed by the person in question, that's case 2. So why are they doing it? Social reasons? Lack of willpower? Greed? I think in most cases it can be a mixture of most or all of these. The social pressures of not eating meat are quite immense, from my experience. I was constantly questioned etc. every single time it was bought up (which was very rarely, if ever, by myself). Not only are there questions, you are immediately given a label, which I think most of us hate, and of course you're the minority. There's also a strong link between a display of masculinity in society and eating dead animals.

Lack of willpower, and greed. I feel I can't distinguish between the two in this case. This is the area I can't understand, and thinking about it annoys me, without wishing to get too dramatic. I don't believe much of it is willpower. The willpower is in the thought process, it's fulfilled. The greed is down to the tastebuds being triggered. But i don't understand how someone can function in society, get dressed, go to work, interact with people (granted, i can't even do that), but not stop themselves eating dead bodies... I have to conclude
selfishness, and this is where my anger lies.
